As we all know, our bright young network ITGumbo is in its Beta version, and I want to do everything that I can to make ITGumbo a better, more fun place to read and write IT blogs.

This week Ronald McCarty writes about an issue that is frightenly near and dear to those of us who live on the east coast: the theft of 45.7 million credit card numbers from TJX Corp, which owns and operates TJMax stores.

Not that I'm admitting to shopping at a TJMax... OKAY! I admit it! ... But now I wonder, did I really need to use my credit card to pay for those faux-antique napkin rings? The were under $7.50!
