Last week I received an email asking why I don't do more to mention/compare/contrast proprietary products and companies as it relates to my those of the open source variety. My initial response was laughter considering this blog sports the name Open Source Unleashed as well as the ample coverage of proprietary entities available elsewhere. However, after thinking on it a bit I figured it might be worthwhile to throw in a post or two to break up my open source monotone.
