Now even real sins committed against our partners can be confessed via an interactive site by Harlequin Romance. If that sounded familiar to you, yes Harlequin Romance it’s the world renowned publisher of romantic fiction.
The Harlequin Romance's interactive confessional is grouped into 8 rooms (portal) representing the 7 deadly sins plus another room for hard to categorize sins. That pretty sums up into having enough rooms for all types of sinners. Interestingly, the most number of confessions is currently registered as to having something to do with Lust.
Marleah Stout, a representative of the company told Reuters that the project came out of the growing popularity of reality TV shows whereby individuals are increasingly getting confident of confiding publicly about their personal lives.
"It really spawned from the reality shows and the talk shows and people opening up their lives and crying, not necessarily with the people they love but with strangers because it makes you feel better or it somehow cleanses you of your demons,"
The confession site is a simple interactive portal whereby anyone can participate and indulge into conscience clearing activity. Although web confessionals is not a new thing on the web, with other sites such as mysecret.tv offering almost the same service, Harlequin Romance's confessional leans towards the romantic side of web users.
If you don't mind posting your sins and doing so really clears off your mind of those sins you might want to give the confessional a try. Don't worry unlike religious confessions, you don't have to do penance for the sins you committed and confessed.
