Google Phone is Coming to Town, or Not?
The rumored Google phone has build up hype over the interweb these past few days. Speculations started when TechIndia reported that the gPhone will be coming its way to India. From then on, the news escalated that it has become the buzz all over the interweb. Then, Engadget also came into the fuzz and reported that Google is actually working on the mobile phone’s operating system, and that the Google phone will be announced on Monday by Google.
Ever the elusive and secretive Google when it comes to corporate strategies and innovations, the big G remains quiet and had not release any information verifying or denying the rumor. Some say the Google phone would run on Linux operating systems. Some even claims that the Google phone would become such a big hit that it will dismiss the interest over the recently launched and equally over hyped iPhone.
Many believed in the rumor and are now eagerly awaiting a possible announcement from Google on Monday. If indeed that there is really a Google phone, then Google is sure enough that no matter how inferior this mobile phone will be, Google fanatics would definitely spare some hard earned bucks to get themselves a unit or two. Whether the Google phone has wi-fi, 3G, video player and all the other great features of the most advanced mobile phones, or not, just the mere possession of a mobile phone bearing the Google phone is enough reason for everyone to buy the Google phone.
But, if the rumor is not true and Google has not done anything to manufacture their mobile phone, then the hype that was built by this rumor is enough reason for Google to consider coming out with its own mobile phone.
The market is eagerly waiting. And it’s up to Google to take advantage of the consumers growing interest. Its time for the iPhone to have a fierce competitor, and Google has got what it takes to bring that competitor up.
